Biodegradable & recyclable eyewear

ABOUT

Truth & All creates eyewear using 100% biodegradable and 100% recyclable acetate. They are designed to be better in every way, not only for the environment, but also in terms of performance. They aspire to make sustainable fashion not only possible; but accessible, available, and better.

IMPACT
People

Truth & All’s sunglasses are handmade in Greece by a family-run and socially responsible manufacturer. The team has personally visited several manufacturers before deciding to partner with them. The family-run operation puts an emphasis on providing fair wages and working conditions, as well employing good environmental practices at the site.

Product

Truth & All’s frames are made using 100% biodegradable acetate, M49. The material consists of cotton, wood and a plasticiser of vegetable origin. Their sunglasses are also recyclable. This means that they are able to rework their sunglasses into other acetate products. The brand therefore offers a return and rewards program to encourage proper recycling and cyclical production.

Packaging

Truth & All ensures that all packaging is made from recycled materials. This includes recycled felt and leather for the bag, recycled microfibre cloth for cleaning, recycled cardboard box for shipping and recycled paper for their shipping labels.

Planet

Truth & All’s sunglasses are made to be both 100% biodegradable and 100% recyclable. They also ensure circularity by offering a return and rewards program to encourage proper recycling. Not only are their products and packaging low impact, the brand also offsets carbon emissions from international shipping. Additionally, they donate to sustainable development projects, such as The Sea Monkey Project to fund a Tioman Island clean-up.

Principles

Truth & All’s name stems from the truth that we are living unsustainable and what we can all do about it. The brand believes that collectively, everyone can make a difference through conscious consumption. The belief is that fashion shouldn’t cost us the earth.
